AMBASSADORS
OF THE NEW STRATEGY
In September, Avebe presented its strategy: Binding and Building 2.0, the next step to more value. The Strategy Coordination Office (SCO) was established to embed this new strategy in the organisation. The employees of this agency will support and facilitate the Executive Committee (EC) & Leadership team in the implementation of the new strategy in the near future. The team reports to CFO Rob van Laerhoven.
‘We spent almost a year developing Avebe's new strategy. We did this in close cooperation with the Leadership team. The introduction of a strategy often amounts to little more than a vision on paper. Then the real work begins: to bring a strategy to life. We as the EC can't do this on our own. That's why we decided to set up a SCO.’
Rob van Laerhoven | CFO
‘The strength of this team also lies in the fact that all three of us can test the strategy from a different discipline. An important focus is on stimulating cooperation between different departments within Avebe (cross-functional cooperation).’
Anna Paques | Logistical Engineer Supply Chain Management
‘This team facilitates the roll-out of the new strategy in the organisation. I was previously involved in formulating the new strategy. I certainly didn't want to miss the opportunity to contribute to its implementation. There's great enthusiasm about the strategy within the organisation. That makes working at SCO a great challenge!’
Jasper Ottens | Controller
Anu Mahabir | Portfolio Manager of Innovation Projects
‘The strategy will be translated into a 5-year plan (the roadmap) for the various pillars in the Avebe strategy framework. This plan is still quite broad. Based on the roadmap, line management will need to draw up annual plans at departmental level for this.’
